I have had a similar problem with my two dogs. If I don't exercise them regularly they will get bored and restless, and will not sleep through the night. They sleep in our living room, and we try to remove anything we don't want chewed (shoes, important documents etc) before we put them to bed. We also try to take them for a walk just before bedtime so that they are more likely to sleep right through. If this is possible for you, then this would be my strongest recommendation! We find that our dogs are no trouble at all if they have had their nightly walk. We also find that they are less trouble when they are confined to one room. If they have access to the whole house, they are more likely to stay awake and roam about, getting into trouble. You could also try leaving some dog toys with your Golden so that if she does start to chew, she is at least chewing on something appropriate. Hope that helps.
