One more observation is that my labrador won't attend any command I give when my wife is around. She oftens looks for her and disregards any command given. when i'm the dog she perfectly attends the sit/stay command. I can walk close 30 yds away and yell COME and she'll come running (treat as reward) but when my wife is around with us.... the dog simply ignores my commands. The only way I can make her come to me is by kneeling and opening my arms.
when walking on a leash, she'll pull away as NOT wanting to be "heeled". One day she was offleash and pooped on a neighbors garage, I gave her a loud reprimend and she suddenly ran away to my house without stopping. How can I correct this? and reasure my position as the Alpha Dog. Must I mention that she doesn't bark at all. |

Does your dog obey your wifes orders??
I think you need to work on basic obedience skills with lead on and your wife present for all your training sessions. Let me know how your dog acts around your wife a bit more and then I'll see what I can come up with, Becks |
