Default Chewing up carpet

I have a 9-month old Morkie and I cannot get her to stop chewing up the carpet. She goes to the edge of the carpet where it meets the tile and pulls out pieces of carpet. This happens everywhere in the house. She has to be watched constantly because she eats the carpet fibers which is bad. I scold her with a loud "no" when I see her doing it but she is very defiant and goes right back to it. I may get her attention away from it for a little while but she will be right back at it in a few minutes. I have covered the doorways with blankets but when I remove them after a few days its like she's been waiting for me to move them and goes for the carpet right away. I am at my wits end.

Hi there,

Have you tried bitter apple spray or some bad taste but still pet friendly substance on the perimeter of your carpet?

In the mean time, give her a lot of chew toys, i.e., Kongs, chew bones, raw hides, hooves, etc.

I hope this will work.

Default Carpet

I have given her chew bones, Kongs and she has lots of toys but she will head for the carpet every time. I have tried the bitter sprays. She will back off for a moment but once it dries she is back at it again.
