The subject came up. Will a fox try to mate with a demestic dog? There are fox in our area. I say probably given a chance, but they don't like human encounters. Nobody was sure. Maybe some of you know the answer.

Hi there....interesting question, but it seems the answer is no. Foxes and dogs have a different number of chromosomes, so cannot mate.
