Barking when I'm on the phone

Whenever I try to make a business call, Bucklee starts to bark so I can't hear what the person on the phone is saying. It's so embarrassing, because he won't stop and even if I put the phone down and put him out of the room and shut the door, he still barks making it impossible to hear. What can be done about this?

I would use a squirt bottle/gun with water and squirt him when he barks. This will usually startle them. You can try it while "pretending" to be on the phone.
