Boxers actually Boxing

Morning...
New to this. Just bought the kingdom of pets series as I am at my wits end with my dog(s). I've tried just about everything so this is my last resort. I figure the people who know best are the people who've actually experienced the same issues so here goes.......
We have a 5+ yr old Boxer named Murphy. He's the best. No complaints at all. We decided we loved him so much that we wanted another one
so thisSpring we purchased another Boxer puppy from a reputable breeder in our area. She is now 7 mos old. For the most part she's a good girl. She's a puppy so we get all the "chaos" involved in having one. She's crate trained, house-broken and truly lovable most of the time. My dogs usually aren't seperated from one another. My older dog loves her and she adores him. However, she gets so excited with him that it turns into aggression alot...
My older one gives her warnings, and will then have to get "rough" with her when she won't 'listen' to him. Alas, she is definitely the dominant one of the two. Murphy is so easy going, almost to a fault, that I don't think he's "teaching" her to behave very well. She goes for his throat, his legs, anything and she bites, growls, and will sometimes hurt him. This morning after coming in from the back yard, she races him into the house and starts in with him, all this after laying together nicely in the sun. This is a real problem for us. She is very stubborn and correcting her only works occassionally. She will then turn on whomever is trying to correct her behavior. My husband says give her a smack, I say no hands on. I'm at my wits end right now. We never had this issue with our older dog but then again there was only one to deal with. They really do get along most of the time and play pretty well until the younger one takes it to the next level. I can't let them run free as she will constantly try to bite and take over. The only thing that is good is that my older one can still outrun her.
Any suggestions?????

Hi, can I ask how you correct your dog....to determine why she would turn on whoever? I wouldn't advise smacking an animal either, so glad you're not going down that route

I give her a "tsshhst" sound and say no. That's what always worked for Murphy and he is so well behaved and mannered that I do that with Moxie but with her it's like..."don't say no to me!" We definitely have an issue with her struggling to be pack leader. 9 out of 10 times I 'win' but I don't want to win, I want her to understand who's in charge. As my husband says..'there is only one Alpha bitch in our house and it isn't the dog...."
