Unhappy Yorkie pup flees from people

I have a 4 month old yorkie. He is beginning to not want to be pet or picked up. He was fine for a while. Now, he gets excited to see you but if you try to touch him, pet him or pick him up he dashes off in the other direction.

I have begun leaving him home during the day (I was bringing him to work with me) with our 2 chinese cresteds (3yrs and 5 yrs) and my teenage son. Since then he has been unapproachable.

Should I start brining him back to work? Does he need more human contact? Is he beginning a total "pack" mentallity which doesn't include humans? He is very cute, sweet and SMART, but its discouraging that he wont let anyone near.

Thanks for the help.

Get some friends to come over your house, let them give him treats and introduce them nicely in a way he'll want to contact them. Take him for walks near children park etc.
