Question Dog training with young children

Hello,

I have two young children 8 and 10. I have a 4month old Australian cattle dog puppy and would like for the puppy to be just as obediant to the children and he is with me. Any ideas.

Hi there!

I love Australian cattle dogs. They are very smart and loyal to the owner(s).

I would recommend you and your children attend a puppy training session together. As you know, training your dog is learning how to train your dog. Your dog training classes are only 45 to 60 mins a week but you and your family are spending every day with your puppy. It will be important all the family members know how to handle your puppy in a consistent way. I would suggest your children implement what they learn at each class in their daily life so that it will be good review session for all of you and the puppy. I think 8 and 10 years old are perfect ages for that.

Good luck!
