Cutting or grinding nails

I have a 9-month-old coton. I am trying to shorten her nails with a dremel. She goes crazy trying to escape. Will she adjust or will she always stay scared of the dremel. Would it be better to use a nail clipper?

I was just wondering if your dog is usually ok with having her nails done with the clippers or even with having her feet handled in general?
