German Shepherd puppy ears

We have a new puppy and the ears were up at 3 months and at 4 months one of the ears has fallen. Should we be concerned? and if so what and how should we correct the fallen ear?

Have you spoken with the breeder? Often, they will guarantee the ears.

We got a really good deal from the breeder as this was his first time breeding his dog with one at the breeder his dog came from. The breeder is in Missouri and we went on you tube and found out how to tape the ears.Thanks! just wondering if anyone else has had to tape their GSD ears when they were a puppy?

The puppies ear is starting to go back up!!! We took the advise to go to the Leerburg website and he spoke on ears falling. This is because of teething and if the ears are not up by 5 1/2 to 6 months old ....then it is advised to tape...otherwise give the ears a chance. We did and in 2 weeks the ear is almost completely back up! Sargent is now 4months and 2 weeks old. Thanks for everyones help.

I'd forgotten the reasons the ears might fall. Glad to hear they are perking up.
