Zeolite?

I have received advise to give zeolite to our dog as a mineral supplement and detoxicant. Does anyone know about this supplement or can recommend further reading for research? Our dog eats rocks and is also having some blood in the stools. She is being treated at the vets for the possibility of Giardia. She is 6 months old.

hi, thanks for your post. I have done a little bit of research on zeolite for you and from what I can find there does not seem to be much scientific evidence that zeolite will benefit your dog. There is also the possibility that it will interact with medications currently being used by your veterinarian so I would definitely consult your own vet before beginning any supplements. Remember also that feeding a high quality kibble can help keep your dogs digestive system in top shape often without the need for extras.
