Default Worm medicine not working?

Hi again,

Our bullmastiff puppy has had a difficult week, and today a fecal sample revealed that she is infested with all kinds of worms. Mainly the kinds for which puppies receive vaccines. She has had all her de-worming vaccines.
She is not around dogs at all since we live in the country, but there are stray dogs that pass by once in while, and as a puppy she may have eaten some of their fecal matter.

The vet said that for only about 1 in 1000 dogs that vaccine is not effective. I don't know the brand of the vaccine, but has anyone had this problem? He thinks that she may have some immunity to the medicine and we will have to worry all the time about her picking up warms, or she may be having to take the medicines she is taking now to kill the worms all her life.
This would be horrible since she is only 6 months old.

Can anyone share their experience about this?
Thanks.
Iara

What was the vaccine, can you ring up your vet and find out?? Then we can possibly help further? Where abouts do you live?
