Default Knows where to, terrible aim!

Hi, I'm the owner of Kuzco, a male miniature pinscher, 7 months. Came to the apartment at 6 weeks old and house training began imediately. Took not even a week for the little fellow to handle most of his business at the right spot. In two weeks he would not have to be reminded anymore where to go. The issue is he has grown up and now he would go to the wee wee pad, step in, shoot and half of it ens up outside the pad (terrible aim, cause I know he pretends to pee in the right place). I'm building something up to kind of enclose the wee wee pad so he has no opportunity to miss and was wondering if anyone have faced a similar problem and found a practical solution.

Thanks!

Kuzco is a male. I think most males like to lift their leg on something to shoot. Building a stick backed up by a cave-like shell might do the trick. Good luck.

I've noticed he lifts a leg when I take him out, but at home he always squats, well, I have not caught him lifting the leg at home so I thought he would always squat at the wee wee pad. Seems a good idea to provide a means for him to follow nature so he can lift a leg and be a happy dog. Any idea if there is such a product on the market?

I know there are plastic fire hydrants for dogs. However, I am not sure how much spray there is when a dog uses it. I suppose if it is surrounded by the pads. . .
