Unhappy Home alone and accidents

I have 2 Shih Tzu dogs 8 years old, they are housetrained and ask to go out when we are home, when we leave them alone during the day they are having accidents in the house, I am not sure what to do about it since it only happens when we are not home. any ideas?

HI there Moraes

Is there anyway you could put a doggie door in your house. These are great at letting your dog's choose when they need to go out

Other than that you could try and install a piece of artificial turf or astroturf in the house that you can train them to use when you are not home. This is a bit messier than the first method but does work.

If neither of these are possible you may have to try and sneak home at lunchtime to let them out

Let me know how things go and good luck

Todd
