shih poo not training help!

I have a 11 month old shih-poo who just won't train. Right now I am at the giving up stage but previously I did the crate method. I followed all the guidlines I thought were right, like taking him out in the morning, after playtime, after eating. He was doing pretty good. Then he started having some run in the house, just in the kitchen area and that was bad he started peeing and pooping. Sometimes even after we came in from outside. So, I am just not sure what I did wrong. I need to start from scratch and not sure how. I have the manual but just don't know where to begin. I really need help. I should mention that I have a 3 year old and 2 year old which complicates matters. They distract him and me from the training.

i'm having the same problem with our dog. Where are the answers people have given
to this problem. I don't know how to use this stuff.
