Hi
The arrival of a new puppy is always an exciting time! Don't forget to refer to the new puppy and crate training sections of the Secrets to Dog Training Guide. I think you will find that raising an american bull dog is similar to raising a lab however with american bull dogs it is important to establish yourself as alpha dog early on. Also they can be prone to some respiratory (breathing) and skin problems and of course the usual dog illnesses so make sure to get them familiar with being checked over and to familiarize yourself with what is normal for your new dog for example getting used to your new dogs breathing noises so that you notice if something changes. Congratulations on the new member of your family and be sure to post any questions you might have as your puppy grows. |
