It seems that all the dog chews and jerky treats are made in China. Is there a safe actual bone that a Maltese could use for gnawing and teeth cleaning? I used to use eye round beef bones for my other dogs, but a Maltese mouth is so small. I don't know what to do.

Hey there,
Have you looked at any Kong toys? As far as I know theyre made in the States (Colorado I think) and every dog owner I know loves them. They make various kinds - rubber chews, and tubes you can stuff with actual meat or treats - they're also organized by age, with puppy vs adult chews - the puppy chews may work well for little mouths? ![]() That'd be my suggestion, its the brand I have the most experience with and I know they're pretty indestructible and dogs seem to really enjoy them!
