Default does your dog do that?

Hi, I just wanted to share something my dog did when he was a puppy. He was a rescue but he looked exacly like a border collie blue merle, so I suppose that`s why he was so intelligent. Anyway the thing that I found so strange was that when we went for a walk in the woods, he would suddenly touch my knee with the tip of his nose. I looked at him and it was like he was telling me something with his eyes, so I picked him up and he was fine. I discovered that when he felt tired he did this to let me know that he needed a rest.

Default Yes, mine does!

Haha, that is too cute. My dog will just stop and look at me and won't move a paw until I pick her up. I guess that's her way of saying "I'm tired!". It usually only happens on really hot days.

Hi Karen, thanks for your lovely message. My dog was not really a border collie, his father was an australian cattle dog, but he looked exactly like a border with blue eyes and silky coat. He was very smart since he was five weeks old, and I never trained him at all, that`s why I thought it was so strange.Other dogs will try to tell you they are tired by jumping on you, but he just touched me with his nose. He seemed to "feel" anything that happened to me, and got very distressed when I cried. I don`t know if all border collies are like this but to me he was like a person and sometimes I thought that I too could see what he was thinking too . Anyway, Karen, when I found him his hair was short and light grey, but when he was about a year old it became longer and darker; what do you mean by dramatic change? I really would love to see your puppy. I will post pictures of all my dogs as soon as I can: at the moment I live in Costa Rica and I don`t have a computer at home.

Hi Karen, I`ve just seen you live in England, and I thought that if you ever hear of a border collie mix that needs rescuing, maybe you could let me know. I have contacted a rescue organisation but they don`t give dogs to people who live outside the UK.
Have I said that I love border collies?
